Creating Recovery Discs

I cannot create recovery discs. It gives me an error
when the disc begins to write and says there is an error
in a sector on the disc. The discs are brand new. Don't
know why I can't do this.

What is "it"?

The XP CD is bootable and includes the Recovery Console. Whay kind of
"recovery discs" are you looking for?

Thanks for your reply. My computer keeps telling me to
make some "restore or recovery discs". That I need 6
blank discs to do this - but when I try I can't. My
system came loaded with XP Home edition - don't have any
disc for that.

By itself, Windows XP does not require any type of "recovery discs" and will
not ask you to make recovery discs. You need to find out what program is
asking you to make recovery discs, and then ask your question to the creator
of that software.
