creating an ASR disc

I am trying to create an asr recovery disc but my floppy drive no longer
works. How can i create one using a cd? I've gone through the process and am
prompted to insert a floppy disc. I cannot find anywhere where i can choose
what type of media i want to use. The machine is an older Dell 4100 with xp
pro installed. How can i do this and do i have to go through the entire
backup process again?

Thanks
Richard

It seems that ntbackup wants a floppy and only a floppy.
I solved this problem with a USB floppy drive.
However, not all BIOS support use of a floppy.

A much better solution is to replace ntbackup with ATI.

I agree with Jim. Honestly, why bother with Windows Backup when there
are so many better choices?

OK, so what is ATI?

I think i'm going to need a little more information than that. Like where do
i get it, how do i use it and what are the benefits?

Try Al Gore's invention: www.acronis.com

If you are not familiar with disk imaging, you will want to spend some
time learning about it. Imaging is complicated, as is the software that
does the deed. But it's also very, very worthwhile.

True Image is only one of several well-known disk imaging programs.
Other popular programs include Norton Ghost, ShadowProtect Desktop and
Image for Windows.

You might have heard about Google in your Internet travels.

Learn how to use it.
