Creating Profiles

D

Daniel Latu

For some reason, I just cannot work out how to create
profiles.

I'm using Win 98, Outlook 2002, have gone into control
panel, Mail, added three profiles and ticked "When
Starting Microsoft Outlook, use this profile:
Prompt for a profile to be used"

But when I open Outlook it only goes to my main profile.

Am I confused as to what Outlook can do, is the same as
Outlook Express, where you can have three profiles, choose
which one to use, and all email goes to the
correct/different email inbox, all folders are different
depending on what each different profile user has set up,
and all email sent from the different profile uses their
own email address? Does Outlook do this?

I've even set up three different PST files for the three
different Profiles, but I just can't see the other two
profiles and can't work out how to access them.

Thanks heaps.

Hi Daniel,

Outlook uses profiles, similar to Identities in Outlook Express. You can use multiple profiles for yourself to seperate work and personal information, or to configure Outlook for different types of
access if needed. The most obvious use is also to configure settings for different users to maintain their information seperately.

Please refer to the following Knowledge Base (KB) article for more information on Outlook Profiles.
