Creating Local Profile for Domain Account without the User Logging In

R

At my work, we are migrating computers to a new domain. Part of this
process invovles having the user log in with their domain account,
thus creating a USER.domain folder in the Documents and Settings
folder, and a registry entry for the domain account in
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList'. The ProfileImagePath registry key is
then modifed to point to the users old, local profile directory
(c:\Documents and Settings\OLDLOCALUSER), so that the user has the
same Desktop, My Documents, etc. as they did before they joined the
domain, effectively retaining their profile.

Is there anyway to either create a registry entry for a domain user,
or have the domain user use the same profile as a local account
without the domain user ever logging in?

Thanks,
Rob Mosher
