Does anyone know of an easy way to sned out bulk e-mail based on the
CATGEGORIES field in Outlook? I know about the tip where you can go view by
Category header then you click and drag on the inbox and it creates your
email addressed to everyone in the list, the problem is not every one in my
list has an email address, so the whole thing bombs out each time, so that
wont work. There just does not seem to be an easy way to do it. I am even
looking for some Outlook add ons that maybe could do the trick, but the ones
I have found can't either. Anyone have any ideas? I really thank you for all
the help!

Seems to me you just need to be making better use of Categories. Create your
categories in such a way that you aren't trying to email someone with no
email address.
You can create a DL from your Category, but DL's are much less reliable.
Change the Contacts Folder View to by Category. Right click and drag the
Category required to a newly created Contacts subfolder then choose Copy.
Make sure the new subfolder has been enabled as an email address book by
right clicking on it and choosing Properties > Outlook Address Book Tab >
and check the box to enable as email address book. Create your new
Distribution List, give it a name and and make sure the Show Names drop down
field points to this new subfolder. Then shift select all the contacts and
add them to the DL.

Hi Russ,
Thanks for the help, I will give it a try. I do need to category everthing
by country, customer, etc., because of the way I do business. That is why I
have some without emails. What is a DL? Thanks!

A DL is a Distribution List. Look at the Subject of your post. It's what you
were asking about.
Contacts can belong to more than one category. If only some members of a
category have an email address, create a second category for those members
so you can send email to them.
