Creating an Index

Hello All,

I am trying to create an index for a rock climbing book.
I have used a heading style for the climb name, climb
grade and climb area. The current XE Field code is {INDEX
\e".........."\c"2"\z"1033"}.

What I would like is...
First column with the climb name e.g. BUNG
Second column with climb grade e.g. 22
Third column with climbing area e.g. Morialta
Fourth column is the page number

Each of these columns will be dotted tab leaders.

Any help would be much appreciated

You have stated that you wish to create an Index, but you
seem to be describing an Table of Contents.

To add a table of contents, place your insertion point, and
choose Index and Tables from the Insert drop down menu.
Click on the Table of Content tab, make a selection of your
options and choose OK.

To create an index you must first mark index entries. In
Word 2000, Click on Word Help and click on the Index Wizard
tab. Enter these three search words: mark index entries
Complete instruction will appear.
