Creating a DOS bootable diskette for use with Norton Ghost

I have Norton Ghost ver 5.1 and the instructions for installation require a DOS bootable diskette to which I am supposed to copy the Ghost files. Need to know how to do this?

Does the boot disk not get created during the imaging process? I've got 6.x
and I'm pretty sure that's how that version works. either way, to create a
startup disk just put a blank floppy in your drive, go to My Computer and
right-click on the floppy drive and select Format. Under 'Format Options'
you should see the option to create a MS-DOS startup disk.

You have it a little wrong. The floppy is used to initiate the recovery of your info off the CD's you saved them to. You will have to enter a long numerical identifier to get access. This identifier is given to you upon creation of the recovery set. Go to Symantec and do some reading. This isn't really an XP issue. Just for you own info. The Ghost program contains a full "how to" guide that you can print out. It's 133 pages long. Good luck.
