Hi everyone,
I have Windows XP media edition and I want to add Windows XP Professional to
a newly created E drive, that I have created using Partition magic 8. I would
like to know how do I get this done - in all the stages.

If XP Media Center is already installed on C: and you now have an E:
partition created by Partition Magic; go ahead and install XP Professional on
the E: partition. Let the Professional disk format E: in NTFS and proceed
with the install. XP Professional will set up the bootloader automatically so
you can choose which OS you want to boot to. More importantly, ask yourself
why you need to do this. The two operating systems are almost the same; there
is very little for a home environment that Professional can do that Media
Center can't.

PM's documentation gives a very good explanation
of that. You can't just stick an OS on any old
partition; they need to be the right type and
properly structured.
