Create rule using and/or

So basically I've found that when I want to create a rule, there is only the
option to choose "and", for example from johndoe@somewhere and sent to
jdoe_groupies@there. I want to create a rule which will recognize
either of two or more cases (i.e. from mom or dad; from Bank1 or with
subject checking account etc). How do I do this?

The "from Mom or Dad" one is easy. Just add each of their addresses to the
"From people or distribution list", since both tests are for the same
condition. In other words, to tests within the same condition will always
be OR, but testig two separate conditions will always be AND. If you want
to test for either of two distinct conditions you need a rule for each
condition.
