Crashed, Burned...Now trying to get my "Works" to work...

My computer was, I think, infected with what I do not know, but anyway needed
to be redone, (not very computer savvy) But I cannot open or do anything in
my windows Home XP anymore because of the certificate of authenticity, and I
may have lost the stupid little case the CDs were in, what do I do?? I had
bought a professional Windows program (so I could do Power Point for college)
and that is gone as well...

it is a guess, but i think you would know the "value" of the "product keys"
especially since both your home version and the professional version must
have been costly purchases......

it is another guess, but i think you will have to buy another copy........

Thank-you for replying...so i need to buy them in the store...or would dell
be able to do something since I have my COA on the back of my laptop? And all
my reinstallation CDs, but it tells me that it is not a valid number when i
try to enter them in?

dell can resupply you with the restore disks for your system. because you
have a coa, then the cd's you are using now were not the ones supplied by
dell. you should study the dell site regarding your system. there might be a
possibility that your hd may have had a hidden partition containing the
restoration files and dell may not have provided recovery disks as a
policy.......
