Crash Upon Advancing Slides with Mouse Wheel

Hello. Im am running PowerPoint 2002 with Service Pack 3 on XP Professional
Service Pack 2, a Pentium 4, 3.2 GHz HP Compaq desktop with 504 MB RAM.

PowerPoint occassionally crashes when I am advancing through slides using my
mouse wheel. What is the cause of this and how can I correct it? I do not
get a specific error code.

Note that this happens only in PowerPoint and in no other applications.
