crash recovery

I have recently suffered from a catastophic crash of the
XP operating system. After much reading and many hours I
have partially recovered my system to a point where XP
starts and the user menu apears.

Now however, when I attempt to log in as a user I am told
thatthis copy of XP must be activated. I have already
activated the product, however, since my system is not
completely restored I can not activate it on-line.

Do you know of a way to restore the previous activation?

i recommend you back up what you about to modify before doing so.
