Could not update; currently locked - Access 2003

Hi,

I have a split database with 15-17 users at any given time. Some users have
been getting the error "Could not update; currently locked". There is no
error number. All users have modify permissions. Please help. This
database has been in production for almost a year and today is the first time
we have seen this error. I've not made any revisions to front-end or
back-end in about a week.

Regards,

Hi,

Is it possible someone has open the backend in an exclusive mode? Is
there a dot-ldb file, for the back end, even when no user is actively
connected to it (meaning some connection may have been disrupted brutally);
if so, rename (or delete) the dot-ldb file.

Hoping it may help,

I think that is what happened. Somehow, one user had "Full Control"
permissions to the back-end.

Thanks for your help.
