Mystery Problem Could not update currently locked.

I have a database that about once a day encounters a problem. The first two
times it happened there were 2 people working at the same time. Today there
was only one person who was logged in. The error comes up when the user
clicks in a cbobox to select an appointment type. The user then gets this
error "Could not update, Currently Locked." I don't know why I would get this
when only one person is in the database. This is split database with a front
end on each computer. I will post whatever information about the setup and
code you need. I am totally lost on this any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Remember that each user must have read/write/edit/delete priviledges to the
BE file AND the folder it resides in. Also, I just ran into a problem where
2 users on the network could not properly use the DB. It turned out to be
thier registries had problelems.

you just need to move to SQL Server

honestly. Upsize.. if you're using 2000-2003; it's not _THAT_ painful.

I could translate most moderately complex databases in about a day
