Could not start the print spooler services on local computer. Error 1068

I get this error message when I try to start the print
spooler in Win2K Professional:

Could not start the print spooler services on local
computer. Error 1068 The dependancy service or group
failed to start.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The spooler is dependent on the RPC service. Admin tools /Services

Check that the RPC service has started. Check that there are no other
dependency services listed on the Print Spooler, or it there are make sure
they can start.
