Could not start DB server: socket() failed

This isn't specifically about Win XP but I'm posting it here becaus
someone earlier had a similar or identical problem & I;m loking fo
some help!

My PC crashed with a fatal exception yesterday. When I got it restored
I couldn't reach the internet. My modem appears to be working and
seem to get connected, but I think my firewall (kerio) might b
blocking me.

I get an error message which says

Could not start DB server: socket() failed

First I restored WIndows.

Now I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling Kerio but to no avail. Whe
Kerio is on, I get the error message. When it's not, I don't.

The original poster (29-03-2004 http://tinyurl.com/yty9y ) had the sam
message and was also using Kerio. In that case the problem was solve
by reinstalling Kerio. Since that hasn't worked for me, I'm desperatel
seeking help!
