could not delete virus, adware....

Hi,
....bought Norton Antivirus, Spy Sweeper software, scan and found lot of
virus..but the software could not delete them, what is the cause?

They mat be "active" in which case they can't be removed.
Reboot in "safe" mode and rerun your scans, in safe mode the viruses will be
inactive so removal should not be a problem.
Good luck
To get into safe mode shut your computer off,and restart it while starting
hit the f8 key during the splash screen,Or better yet just keep taping the f8
key until you get an option to start in safe mode.

....I hit F8 now Window in SAFE mode but when I click "start/run/Norton
antivirus....EXE" it won't run at all, what did I do wrong? thanks again
