Could a subwoofers vibes cause harm to a HDD?

I just got a really nice set of 2.1 speakers... the Logiech
z2200's...and the sub is awesome. I was wonderin if the vibes it
produces would play a key factor in causing harm to my hdd's (like the
heads tapping the platters, or a severe crash)? At the moment the
subwoofer is on my desk... but that not a good idea for acustic
reasons, so i plan to place it on the floor beside my desk soon.

Have a look if you want:

It'd take some massive long waves to mess up a hard drive.
I'd think your filling would blow long before your hd.
I know of several bands that use a computer as part of their on stage
setup and even with all the stage amps and stage monitors pointed at
it their system hasn't had a hd crash yet.
As for sub placement the floor is the best place for it, some even
need the floor as a sound board to achieve their max output.

Farrell, I have these speakers and they will kick your ass but I don't think
they will harm your hard drives.

I would suggest that you place the sub in the corner, on the floor. I know the
wires on the satellites are a little short but also try to spread the sats out a
little more. Mine are about 60 inches apart and this seems pretty good.

These speakers are very powerful for computer speakers and the sub is awesome.
I have my other computer hooked up to my HT with Infinity Alphas and while the
Logitech 220's don't compare to the HT Infinitys the sound is pretty impressive
for computer speakers.

That's a very nice setup that you have there except it could use a little more
clutter. :)
