costly imports!

Hi!
I'm new around here. Brand new. And this is what brought me here. Hope
someone here can help.
I had formatted my hard disk And I had backed up my files before that.
Evrything went right back ...except for the pst files. They somehow dont like
a new house it seems! I've tried disabling the read only option. I've even
used scan pst. But the error messages i get are

"Properties for this information service must be defined prior to use"

and when i click ok

"....the file....outlook.pst is not a personal folders file'

someone has done a 9/11 on my files!

Well, can someone please help!....

Use File, Open in Outlook to open the old pst file. Then you can use the old
file or move items to your new pst file. Folder View works best for this. The
old file will be at the bottom of the folder list below the new one.
