Corrupted software blue screen no buttons work HELP?!

My friend downloaded limewire onto my laptop and now when they try to turn
their computer on it goes to a blue screen and says that theres an error
because of hardware/software recently loaded onto the comp. Ive told her to
try and press F8 to check her harddrive but she says that no buttons make
anything respond. Are there anyways to fix this?

It would help if we knew the exact contents of the error message. The
usual way to try to correct problems like that is to try to use the Last
Known Good boot option or boot to Safe Mode and repair things there.
You already asked your friend to try these with the F8 options so if she
can't boot at all she might be able to use the Recovery Console to
disable services or repair files that might have been damaged when
Limwwire was installed. Without knowing the contents of the BSOD we
really can't suggest much more than that. She could alway try the
Repair Reinstall...
