Corrupt Profile

When I logon to my computer, I get the message that my
profile may be corrupt and a temp profile will be used.

Please help me with a way to recover my previous profile
and what can I do to prevent this occuring in future.

I'm sticking my neck out here, as I'm new to Win2K (but
it's a hell of a way to learn).

You don't say which OS you're using, or what level of permissions
you log on as.

IF you're using Win2K Pro and logged on as Admin:
My Computer-->Properties-->User Profiles-->Copy To

Admittedly this perhaps is only a starting point.

That would be worth a try and he would also have to give permissions to that user
while doing such. If that does not work he still could probably copy most of what he
needs from his damaged profile under documents and settings/username such as the
contents of his my documents folder, his favorites, emails, etc. --- Steve
