Hello. I am not sure I am in the correct forum, but I recently started
having a problem with an application starting to load and then a message
coming up stating that there was a problem with the "ntdll.dll" file.

I even located a copy to download, placed that in the \Windows\System32
folder and each time I continue to attempt to launch this application, it
partially starts up, then hangs and then gives me the error message.

Is there something I am not doing correctly? Any suggestions? It had been
working just fine for the past year or so and about a month ago, BOOM, this
error message came up.

Thanks much for any help
Francine

How about replacing the copy that's in widows\system32\dllcache too. Not
sure if it will work.

Thank you for your email, however, I looked to do what you are suggesting and
I do not have a folder by that name. Yes, I am showing hidden files and
folders, too, but there is not Windows\System32\dllcache folder on my system.
I also looked in the \Windows\System folder, too, just in case. Nothing
there, either.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but I think the dllcache
folder is available if you have windows file protection activated which is
the default setting. I don't know if this has anything to do with your
problem or not.
