ntdll.dll

I log into a site which enables me to download maps and was working fine
until today. however i keep getting an error message which says reporting
error to microsoft and then i am booted out of IE. I spoke to the map
provider and they asked me to look on the error report for ModName. It
equals Ntdll.dll. i was told the only way to resolve the problem was to
re-install service pack 2 - apparently the ntdll.dll file may be corrupted.
does anyone have any ideas what else i can do instead of re-installing sp2
which is a nightmare? also is sp2 the latest?

1. Go to Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter.
2. In the Command Prompt window type: SFC /SCANNOW
and hit enter. Have your Windows XP CD available.

After running SFC:

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools >
System Information > View > System History
