Corrupt Management Console

Hello. If anybody has any insight (or better yet... solutions) to the
following error message (see technical details below) I would be very, very
grateful.

For several months now I have been unable to access any system or
administrative apps. via the Management Console. With every attempt, I
receive the following error message:

Dialog Box: Microsoft Management Console

Microsoft Management Console has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you were in the middle of something.... [blah blah blah]

AppName: mmc.exe AppVer: 5.1.2600.2180 ModName: mmcndmgr.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 0004bc11

Please note, I have sent the error report on a number of occasions. I have
sifted throught the online support, checked into Windows Updates, et cetera,
with no luck.

Again, if anyone can offer some insight I would be very happy. Thank you!!

Start, run, type
regsvr32 Mmcndmgr.dll

Although it seemed to run correctly, I continue to receive the same error
message when trying to perform any administration via MMC. Any other
suggestions? I'd rather not have to reinstall the operating system. Thanks
