Corrupt Local Profiles

Good Morning,

I'm running terminal server on a windows 2003 server. I have approx. 15
users. For some reason 2-3 times a week some of our users will attempt to log
in and they get the following message.

Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this
error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile.

I usually ask the person to log off, and then go to local documents and
settings and delete the profile. Occasionally it will not delete as it is
showing the NTUSER.dat in use?

At this point I have to get everyone to log out and reboot the TS.

Is there a solution to these corruptions as they are frequent?

Are you using the same profile for users workstations and TS
sessions? If so, that's the cause of the corruption, and the
solution is to specify a TS-specific roaming profile.

If you already use these, try the UPHClean utility:
