Corrupt Files?

This has only been a recent development. Whenever I try
to move one of my mp3 files to a new directory, and try
to play the mp3 from the new directory, media player says
that the file is corrupt. I've tried playing the file in
Winamp, but nothing happens. I've tried reformatting the
drive, but nothing seems to work. The harddrive is only 2
months old, so it's not dying. For some reason, this only
affects music files.

Any ideas?

How do you move them? If you drag and drop them something (I think
it's your security settings) can cause corruption, but if you cut and
paste they should be okay. Try copying one file and moving it
elsewhere to see if it works before using the full cut and paste, just
to be 100%.

Just in case you don't know what I'm blethering about

right click on file, copy, go to folder you wish to place it in, right
click inside it and paste. Once you're sure it's working you can cut
instead of copy, which will remove it entirely from the original
place.

Of course if you're already doing this then ignore me :O)
