Corrupt DB?

S

Simon Harris

Hi All,

I've got a Nightmare on my hands, project behind schedule, DB 90% complete,
all fine last night, boot up and open the DB this morning and I get an
error pop up that 'Access Encountered an error...etc'

The details are:
AppName: msaccess.exe AppVer: 11.0.6566.0 AppStamp:42cdb33e
ModName: vbe6.dll ModVer: 6.4.99.72 ModStamp:40b29ba6
fDebug: 0 Offset: 000041a4

The database is split - The data file opens fine, the GUI doesnt, which is
what makes me think its gone corrupt. Of course, I dont have a recent
(enough) backup! (Yes, I know...bad, bad, bad!)

Anything I can do, short of emailing my client and begging for more time!?
:-(

Cheers!
Simon.

I created a new database, then imported all the objects from the old one.
The new one seems to work just fine.

Time to run a backup me thinks! :)

Simon.

Good news.

A decompile is probably in order as well.
You can still end up with bad binary after an import.
