Corrupt Browser

Is there a way to uninstall, then download a new copy of
I.E.6? If so, do I uninstall the old version first, then
download the new? I know it is part of Windows XP, and
have heard that you cannot uninstall it.

Mine is corrupted...including my Outlook Express, and would
like to start with a fresh version.
