corrupt attachments at the recipient' end

Hi there,
Whenever we try to send a gif, jpeg or zip file as an attachment (open new
message dialog and drag the attachment in the new message window), the file
gets shorter when received at the other end and gets corrupted. If I send a
140KB file, the recepient will reveive only 136KB file and that will be
corrupt/not openable. Please help.

Thanks and Regards,
JB

Could the attachment be getting compressed (in the case of ZIPs - compressed
again)? I know some addins will automatically compress attachments before
sending.
