Dragging attachments betwenn emails Office 2007

Our users will open a new email which they use as a blank slate. They then
select several files from their documenst folders, right click and do a send
to mail recepient which opens a new email and attaches the files. Now they
want to drag the attachments to their blank email. This worked in Office
2003 but not 2007. Are there work arounds?

Err if they are doing "send to" mail recipient why are they then duplicating
their work by dragging the attachments to another blank email?
Sounds like some "education" is required.

if it worked in 2003, it was because they used a send to shortcut they made,
not the Sendto command in windows. The sendto command is always modal - it
needed saved and closed before you can use outlook again.

If they have explorer open, they can drag directly from explorer to the
"blank slate"

Your users are duplicating their efforts. Either just start with
selecting the files (in Windows Explorer) and use the Send To -> Mail
Recipient content menu (to start a new e-mail that has those
attachments) or start a new e-mail and then *drag* the files (from
Windows Explorer) into that new e-mail.

That "it" worked in OL2003 means that "it" was not what you described
here. They were doing something else back with OL2003. Under the Sent
To folder in the user's profile, the Mail Recipient item is actually
"Mail Recipient.MAPIMAIL", a filetype defined under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.MAPIMail

Perhaps they were using a different Send To folder item, like an e-mail
shortcut added by a Microsoft powertoy (their SendTo powertoy can add up
to 3 additional but different type of e-mail shortcuts to the Send To
folder), or some 3rd party utility, or they (or you) created a special
shortcut (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/234487) and called it "Mail
Recipient".
