Corel WordPerfect 7 compatibility with Windows XP Home Edition

I previously ran Corel Word Perfect 7 on Windows 95 and
then Windows 98 without problems. I recently bought a new
computer with an OS of Windows XP Home Edition Version 5.1
and loaded Word Perfect 7 on it. The program loads up but
will not bring up a dialog box after the "File/Open"
command. When I try to save a "test" document, I get an
error message and the program closes. My computer came
with Microsoft Works and it does not appear to be
compatible with Word Perfect even though I was told it
would be. Can anyone out there offer a bit of help or advice?

I can confirm that WordPerfect 10 and 11 are compatible with
Windows XP but I'm not sure about WordPerfect 7. You might try
asking on the Corel newsgroups.
