That Camera Place

Hi All,

When I try and copy a file using the XP system nothing happens. I then try
again and I get a window saying the system is in use. Nothing happens. If I
try and shut the system down, I get a window saying a program or file is in
use and I should wait until it's finished or close it down. Ctrl/Alt/delete
tells me nothing is running so I can't shut down. Hibernation or standby is
the only option. I also have pinnacle installed and Roxio ( they came with
the machine) I just want to use the instant copy facility in XP. Any ideas

TIA

Andrew

If the disks were formatted for packet writing that allows drag and drop and
save directly to disk much as you would to a floppy or hard drive, XP's
writing function doesn't support that. If they disks were formatted to
support the packet writing function, XP would not recognize them and as
such, might be the source of the issue assuming you are using formatted
disks and attempting to copy directly to CD.

Nothing will happen, it just copies to a folder and you have to tell it to
write to disk.
