Copying text from Webpage to Word

I copy some text from a webpage to paste into a word document. Why does it
take so long for the text to appear in the word doc when I choose paste? Is
there any way of speeding up this process? PC is fairly fast on everything
else - not running slow or anything like that.

This is a universal complaint. Using Paste Special as Unformatted Text may
be quicker.
