Copying photo Files

I am getting an error "DIRECTORTY OR FILE CANNOT BE CREATED" when copying
from my pictures folder to my SD 1gb disk. What does this mean? and how do I
forrmatted the disk?

Is this SD disk to be used in a camera? If yes, you MUST format it
with the camera.

Have you check the small slider switch to make sure it is not set to
"write protect?"
