Hi.
Dont know if this is the right place to post this question but i'll try.

A customer has a single 2000 server. It's set up just as a Workgroup server.
No domain, no AD.
All user accounts are local.

Now he has ordered a new server with 2003 on it.

Is there a way to copy accross these user accunts from the 2000 server to
the 2003 server, since i dont have every users password?

Logon as a user with local admin rights, use the System application in
Control Panel (Advanced tab) to copy the profile to a network share. Don't
forget to change
the permission on who has the right to use the profile. Set the appropriate
profile path for the user.

Regards,
/Jimmy

copying the users' profiles will not copy their passwords, just their
profile data/settings. you will still have to recreate all the user accounts
on the 2k3 server.

Hello,

If you need to transfer users and passwords from and to any server type
(NT, 2K, 2K3, server or not). Just do it with Ideal Administration from
Pointdev. Here the tool: http://www.pointdev.com
