When attempting to write to cd, the writing to cd wizard
dialog box states that "there is no disc in drive" place
a blank cd in the drive (or words to that effect.) But, I
have a known blank cd in the drive. Any suggestions?

Hi Chuck,

Right-click the drive in Windows Explorer, select properties. Go to the
recording tab, put a check in the line to "enable recording on this drive".

It is usually better to wait to put the blank in until asked.

But you must have the 'Autoplay' in the drive's properties set so that
blank disks open in 'writeable CD folder' if you use the inbuilt
burning; and so that Mixed content opens to View files in Explorer
