I recently had to re-format my hard drive and re-install windows. I copied
the shortcuts form the Favorites folder on my my back up hard drive to the
Favorites folder on the C: drive. When I go into Favorites on Internet
Explorer, they don't show up. Any idea why or how I can copy the favorites.

Make sure you copied them to your user account.
C:\Documents and Settings\<YOU>\Favorites

Where did you put the shortcuts because your favorites folder can be found
in Documents and Settings/username/Favorites. My guess would be you picked
the wrong favorites folder.

Leon cogitated deeply and scribbled thusly:

Much easier for next time, in IE go to File Export and export your
favorites to a file. Save that to a CD or whatever. After reformatting
and re-installing, open IE and IMPORT favorites. Then your favorites
will automatically be in the right place!
