copying a dos program to a cdrw

I am trying to copy a ms-dos program from my desk top to
my laptop. I can not get the program to run from the
cd. I try to send the program to the cdrw and I get a
drive not accessible error message. Any help wopuld be
appreciated!

copy the program to the hard disk and run from there.
