Copy To & Move To Directory Tree Disappeared

In explorer when I use either the copy to or move to icons or the menu items
the dialogue box pops up but the directory tree does not appear. The buttons
at the bottom for new folder, copy or paste, and cancel are there but no
tree. Once I just clicked on the blank area and the file I wanted to copy
went somewhere. The tree is there, just not displaying. Anyone have any
idea what is going on and how to make the tree come back? I know I can
manually copy and paste but I really like the copy to and paste to commands.
Thanks

Thanks a bunch. Worked perfectly. Still wondering how that registry entry
got deleted in the first place. Just curious.

Sorry, I mean move to instead of paste in my question.

You're welcome!

Did you use a registry cleaner lately?

I use "System Mechanic" occasionally but not within the last month.
Actually, it is piece of junk. Glad it was only $19.95. Only reason I
bought it was it was marketed by Zone Labs so I wrongly assumed it was a good
solid program. It really messes up your start up programs and deletes Yahoo
Messenger so you then have to re-install it.

Thanks again for your help. Next time this happens I think I will do a
system restore since now I know this problem is registry related.

In addition to System Restore, you could use the freeware utility named
"ERUNT" to do a daily registry backup (all hives) which will prove very
helpful in case of a disaster.
