Copy rule not copying

I have a rule that says "When the message has been sent, move a COPY to a
"Sent items" folder in another pst file". The rule moves the sent message to
that file, but the "original" sent message does not appear in the default
Sent Items folder, which is the intention. Can anyone throw any light on why
it is not doing so? (Outlook 2003). I have the option ticked "Save Copies of
sent messages in the Sent Items Folder"

Thanks

Try the following;
-verify in the Options of the message that you indeed have the option ticked
to save a copy to your default Sent Items folder
-disable the rule and see if it works now
-modify the rule so it will copy to a folder in the second pst-file but not
named Sent Items

What results do you get?

This is very very odd - it seems that its been working all the time - yet
when I sorted the default Sent Items folder by date sent, the latest sent
items didn't show. Now they do.....odd?
