Copy photos to CD

When I am copying photo files to a CD, I get a message about a "thumbs" file. This "thumbs" file also copys over to the CD along with the photos. What's the deal on this "thumbs" file? Can I delete it from the CD without any harm?

The 'thumbs' file is a database file that contains the thumbnails for your
images. So when you view the images in explorer as thumbnails you see small
representations of the larger image. You probably just want to copy the
'thumbs.db' file with your photos to the cd since the file is realitively
small so it won't take up much space on the cd. If you don't copy the file
no harm will be done though, the thumbnails will be created by windows on
the fly and you may see a slight delay on the thumnails loading when you
open the cd.
