copy paste problem in excel 2002

Hi -

I've been using spreadsheets for twenty years and I am
encountering a problem I've never had before. On my
Excel 2002 spreadsheets, often when I cut or copy and
then paste my worksheet cells, it pastes the cells as an
object! I am copying cells with numbers or formulas, but
for some reason it's treating the contents as objects.
And this does not happen consistently...but enough to
really hinder my progress around a spreadsheet.

Have you by any chance hit the SHIFT key whilst copying, as the normal copy
option disappears and is replaced with Copy Picture, which will do exactly as
you say and paste it as a picture.
