Copy & Paste inoperable in zip files?

T

tnom

I just noticed that I can not copy and paste, or drag and drop a file
within a zip folder directly to my desktop.

When I double click, or right click and choose either open or explore
I get the option to copy. I CAN then paste that selected file to any
location within the Windows Explorer including the desktop location.
If I do not use the Windows Explorer and just copy & paste, or drag
and drop to the desktop directly this function will not work.

I can use the Extract All wizard just fine.

The problem is pasting or dropping the file directly onto the desktop.
It will not work. It appears to be transferring (with a progress
window for large files) but the file never appears on
the desktop.
