copy from w2k server to wxppro slow

copying from my windows 2000 server to my windows xp box is rediculously
slow. i've tried some of the links for fix, but nothing works.
any new ideas?

Do you have any errors in system log? check if you have
the newest version of MrxSMB.sys. Check the link speed
and change from Auto to 100 half duplex /100 full duplex.
What speeds are you getting right now?

This could be related to smb signing problems. If you have not tried this yet go into
the Local Security Policy/security options of the XP box and disable all four
settings for "digitally sign communications client or server. Of course the W2K
computer should not have a digitally sign communications (always) enabled which it
would not in a default configuration. --- Steve
