Copy Error during XP Home SP2 upgrade

Information

While doing this update, we receive a Copy Error message, stating that
XPLP_WP.XD_ cannot be copied to the destination directory. I have search
the system, and can only find XPLP_WP.XDR in two locations, the i386 folder,
and in \windows\downloaded installations\{mess of numbers} folder. I cannot
skip this file, and I can only retry and get the message again, or quit and
lose the SP2 install.

Any assistance is deeply appreciated,

This often happens when using Windows Update to install SP2.

Download Windows XP Service Pack 2 Network Installation Package for IT
Professionals and Developers from:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...BE-3B8E-4F30-8245-9E368D3CDB5A&displaylang=en

Then install it.
