Cookies Folder and ntuser files in Programs Menu

M

Marybeth

Juat got a new computer with XP Pro. Not a big issue, computer runs fine,
but a "Cookies" folder and an "ntuser" file has been added to my "Start -
All Programs" menu that Windows will not allow me to delete or move. I have
Admin rights.

It just bothers me.

Thanks, Mary

Mary,

If this problem has occurred as of recent, try a System Restore rollback. If
that does not help, inspect the User Shell Folders registry values for your
user profile. The default values are given in a table, in the following
article:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=886549
Ignore the article title. You just want to inspect and fix the shell folder
paths.
