Cookie txt file

Hi. On my XP Pro/IE6, administrator/Cookies folder is a cookie txt file
I want to remove. Using it for a test. I just want to delete the one
txt file (don't want to wait to expire). If I delete it, will it goof
up the index.dat file or anything else?

I often delete cookies with Windows Explorer and have no problem with IE
finding my other cookies. IE and Windows are so intertwined that this is
what I would expect.
