Microsoft did a good job of hiding the save options.
Click on save to my computer to bring up the save movie
wizard. Select the name and location for your saved movie
and click next. On the second page of the wizard, select
the other setting radio button (this will bring up the
various formats that movie maker can save video as),
select the format you want (DV-AVI (NTSC)) from the drop
down list. Click next to save the file.
Note that Movie Maker creates what are called AVI 1
files. Most other programs want to see AVI 2 files. You
can convert the AVI 1 to AVI 2 using free software. For
step by step instructions see my site
www.video.ncsparks.com
Good luck.

Maybe I'm missing something. When I capture video it
saves it as a DV-AVI file. When I''m done editing it the
only option I'm given is to save it as a MSWMM file. I
have the software to convert DV-AVI to VCD, but not MSWMM
to VCD. How do I save an edited project to DV-AVI?
