Converting Mac Word document to .pdf file

Our old version of Mac Word (on Classic/OS 9) allowed us to simply click on
the .pdf icon to save a document as a .pdf file. Is there a way to do the
same on our newer Mac Word on OS X? We are running OS 10.3.9. Please email
response to (e-mail address removed); many thanks!

From any OS X application:

Click the File menu, then click Print.

At the bottom of the Print dialog box, click the button labeled “Save as
PDF…â€

You will then be asked where to save the PDF file and what to call it. We
recommend unchecking the “Hide Extenstion†box.

Bingo! Worked perfectly!!! Not sure if and how you get to see this response,
but just wanted to thank you very much, Jeffries-Robert! The only piece we
didn't get was a box concerning 'show' or 'hide extension,' but this didn't
matter since the file converted easily to .pdf. Much appreciated! Best,
