I have a problem--solving it could really help my life as a
writer/researcher. I believe that there are scanners that can take a sheet
of paper with text on it and turn it into an ms-word document in which words
can be copied, edited, etc. What I am wondering is if there is a program
that can do the same thing--take a pdf (one where the select tool does not
work) or jpg file and turn it into a word document so that text can be copied
from it. It seems to me this must be possible, but I can't find anything
that will do it as yet. (By the way--I know pdf files can be saved to word,
but when you are dealing with the kind of pdf file I'm discussing, it simply
puts it in word as an image, which does not help.)
Thanks in advance--feel free to refer me elsewhere if you think it
would help.
